Founded in 1963 with the care of Premier Zhou Enlai, Nanjing Foreign Language School (NFLS) is one of the first seven foreign language schools in China. As a public school directly under the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Education, it is a key high school in Jiangsu Province, one of the first batch of high-quality high schools in the province, and one of the 16 foreign language middle schools with the qualification for language-type recommendation for admission to higher education recognized by the Ministry of Education.
